A stunning example of an antique late Victorian-era spinner fob, which was an adornment used originally to hang from a watch chain or a ribbon. This spinner or swivel fob has three sides, which can be turned or swivelled within a moveable bracket. The citrine has a beautiful rich coloration and hangs from a vibrant 9kt yellow gold spinner handle, which is riveted into each side of the citrine. The spinner framework is and in good working order. The corners and edges of the citrine are faceted, and the stone is triangular in shape, giving it a prism-like effect. A large gold "O" shape at the top of the fob allows it to be easily hung and worn from a favorite gold chain.
Sold with an 18kt over sterling gold-plated chain.
