This extraordinary French locket from the early to mid-1800s still has its original glass and is in perfect working order.

Featuring a carved Forget-Me-Not flower on one side and a cross on the other, the two interior compartments would have been used to hold treasured mementos or photos. Black jewelry dates back centuries but was at its height of popularity during the Georgian and Victorian eras.  Today its history, simplicity of form, and elegant black color have made these jewels some of the most highly sought after. A lovely combination of sophistication and sentimentality.

Sold with a removable organza ribbon necklace.
