This lovely brooch is a stunning example of the craftsmanship of the late 1700s. It features four beautiful hand-cut stones, that change colours from pale lavender to a deep purple depending on the light. It was most probably used as a lace pin or as the adornment of a very fashionable bosom. Gerogian and Regency ladies and gentlemen loved large pink and pruple stones, and this brooch is equally on trend today. Its shape makes it also suitable to hange from a chain as a magnificent necklace. C-clasp.
