A splendid and very large French Art Nouveau handmade enamel brooch of sunflowers on a glowing blue background. It was created by the master Art Nouveau Limoges enamellist Michel Betourné. The extraordinary three-dimensional image gives the impression of stained glass. The sunflower has been a meaningful symbol in jewelry for centuries, symbolising optimism, growth, and endurance. In some cultures, sunflowers are also symbols of spiritual faithfulness as they are always facing the sun.
