This is large French Art Nouveau handmade enamel brooch of daisies on a glowing royal blue background. The extraordinary three-dimensional image gives the impression of stained glass. It is signed by master enamellist “R. Trevelet”. Scrolled gilt brass mount with lovely patina.

Symbolically, daisies represent simplicity, positivity, and happiness. It’s often associated with the following: innocence, purity, new beginnings, transformation, humility, true love, and cheerfulness. In France the game “Effeuiller La Marguerite” is the same as the English “He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not”, in which the petals of a daisy represent a longing for true love.
