This exceptionally crafted antique French heraldic brooch from around 1900 is the perfect adornment for a Lord or Lady. Featuring a noble crest of lions “passant” beneath a royal crown and flanked by more lions “rampant”, this brooch has been beautifully executed in red and green enamel within a distinctive two-tone setting of gold and silver vermeil. The lion is a common charge in heraldry. It traditionally symbolises courage, nobility, royalty, strength, stateliness and valour, because historically the lion has been regarded as the "king of beasts".

A true statement piece for a noble heart.

Trombone clasp.
