Here we have a  handpainted “scene galante” of two fashionable 18th century lovers in a bucolic setting.. This antique French Limoges porcelain pendant has been beautifully executed and signed on the back. The cabochon is nestled within an elegant rolled-gold setting. Though dating from the late 19th/early 20thcentury, this very wearable necklace would not have been out of place at a ball at Versailles.
