Chateau d’Amboise is one of the most beautiful Renaissance castles of the Loire Valley, with a noble history dating back to the early 15th century. In addition to being the royal residence of several kings, it is also known as the “first Italianate palace in France” having been designed by many Italian architects and landscape designers. Leonardo da Vinci is buried in its chapel.
