This charming French antique double ‘porte louis’ or coin holder bears the mark of the prestigious silversmith Tranier. The case has beautiful typically Art Nouveau repoussé designs of orchids, and the interior features 
two compartments on springs to enable a number of coins to be stacked up in both the sovereign and half-sovereign size. A charming, elegant and beautiful conversation piece.
