A remarkable Art Deco-era handcrafted brooch incorporating eleven sparkly rhinestones within a very unusual surround of faux round pearls, shark-tooth shaped pearls, and metal beads. Sailors often wore shark teeth for good luck and protection from drowning. What elegant diva wore this brooch, and from what (or whom) did she need protecting? Surely a question worth asking your friends when you don this glorious bijou. Trombone clasp.
